Initial consultation
Full medical and surgical histories are taken. The most suitable treatment will be discussed and further investigations, if required, will be requested or carried out at NURTURE. Men are usually asked to produce a semen sample about the time of consultation for analysis so that the result can be discussed with you at that time.
While the semen analysis will give an indication of which treatment is likely, it is important to remember that the treatment option is finalised on the day of egg recovery, based on that day's sperm sample.
Sperm count, Motility, Morphology and any relevant history all are considered.
