Results and decision-making

A meeting is held at lunch-time Monday to Saturday to discuss individual patient's results and the next appropriate action. When the scan and blood results indicate sufficient hormone levels, follicle number and size a late night injection of hCG is given to complete maturation of the eggs. Egg collection is performed 36 hours after the injection is given.
