Sperm collection
Samples are produced on the morning of egg collection. If surgical sperm recovery (SSR) is required this can be done in three ways:
- Aspiration through the skin (PESA)
- Aspiration through testicular tissue (TESA)
- Extraction from testicular biopsy sample (TESE)
These procedures are carried out under a general anaesthetic and are usually scheduled before the egg collection.
